Homage to High Society

This summer delight in the romantic japes and scrapes of High Society at The Old Vic and celebrate with a Skylon cocktail in hand.

Head Chef Adam Gray has devised a High Society inspired summer theatre menu with a zingy champagne sabayon for dessert, whilst Head Mixologist Fred Tartas has created 3 signature cocktails echoing the mood and style of the era, celebrating the A List protagonists; Frank Sinatra, Grace Kelly and Bing Crosby with plenty of fizz and finesse.

Frank Sinatra
Chivas
Cocchi vermouth
Aged barrelled bitters
Served in a coupette with cherry and a twist of orange

Grace Kelly
Beefeater
Lemon juice
Gomme syrup
Taittinger
Served in Highball with edible flower

Bing Crosby
Chivas
Cocchi vermouth
Cherry Marnier
Orange juice
Served in a coupette with dried slice of orange

Based on Cole Porter’s unmistakable music and lyrics, High Society encapsulates the golden age of Hollywood with its classic take on the rom com. Light, frothy, feel-good themes ensure High Society is a classic to be savoured, especially with a cocktail.

In addition we are offering a glass of Champagne Taittinger (the official champagne of The Old Vic) to Old Vic ticket holders when they dine on the pre/post theatre menu – they’ll need to a show ticket. The High Society Cocktail Collection created by Fred is also available in the bar – priced at £12.50 (£8.50 for High Society Ticket Holders).
