At the age of 18, Kim left her hometown of Crewe to begin her culinary career in America, spending five and a half years developing her skills at Big Cedar Wilderness Lodge, Missouri. With a solid foundation, Kim moved back to London where she was appointed as junior sous chef at Gordon Ramsay’s Boxwood Café before moving within the group to Plane Food in Heathrow’s Terminal 5 departures.

Subsequently, Kim joined Ramsay’s team at the Savoy Grill as he relaunched the iconic restaurant, here, as senior sous chef where she ran a 35-strong kitchen. Following this, Kim spent time inTuscany and Sardinia, where she worked at the five-star luxury resort Forte Village.

In 2011, back in the UK, Kim made it to the semi-finals of BBC MasterChef the Professionals before returning to the kitchen as head chef of Gordon Ramsay’s York and Albany restaurant in Camden. In April 2015, Kim returned to the Savoy Grill, named as the first ever female head chef to run the kitchen in its 126-year history. In the same year, Kim represented the North-West region in BBC Great British Menu.

Now Kim joins Skylon as Executive Chef, an exciting new addition to the Southbank team. Skilled and enthusiastic, she brings abundant experience from kitchens across the world.
